AP Art
This is a college level art class for only the most talented and 
dedicated high school students. Students can earn college credit
after their portfolios are evaluated by the College Board. This
AP Art course has been certified by the College Board as a dedicated
Drawing Portfolio Course, and as such, students will be compiling 
portfolios that meet the requirements of the AP Drawing Portfolio.
Students who pre-register for this course must commit to 
completing a required summer drawing assignment list.

Students in AP Art MUST also be committed to the production of 
a large number of art pieces, through work done in the classroom
studio and at home.  They will be expected to produce approximately
40 quality works of art (with a minimum of 24 NECESSARY for the
portfolio) which show drawing mastery in a variety of media and
techniques as well as subject matter. In addition, the development 
of a body of work of the student’s own choosing is part of the AP Portfolio and will be worked on throughout the year.
